Your entitlement record is the anchor
Start with a complete, current picture of what you are entitled to use. Pull every active order form, ETLA schedule, and amendment, and build a single entitlement summary that shows product, quantity, term, and any special rights you negotiated. When Adobe presents a finding, this is the document you measure it against.
Gaps here are dangerous. A missing amendment or an unsigned schedule can let Adobe count entitlements you actually hold as unlicensed use, so reconcile the file before the audit starts.
Deployment evidence on your terms
Prepare your own deployment data rather than waiting to run Adobe's scripts blind. Named user reports, admin console exports, and your own software asset records let you present a measured position. Knowing your number first means you are never surprised by theirs.
Contracts that define the rules
Keep the master agreement and its audit clause close. It defines notice periods, the scope Adobe may measure, and how findings are resolved. Many buyers concede ground the contract never required because they argued from memory rather than from the signed terms.
